Expand Your Global Business in the U.S

Bringing Global Talent to the U.S.

Certain organizations may establish the required intracompany relationship in advance of filing individual L-1 petitions by filing a blanket petition. To be eligible for blanket L certification, the petitioner and each of the qualifying organizations must meet the following criteria:

  • The petitioner and the qualifying organizations must be engaged in commercial trade or services.
  • The petitioner must have an office in the U.S. that has been doing business for at least one year.
  • The petitioner must have three or more domestic and foreign branches, subsidiaries, or affiliates.
  • Additionally, the petitioner and the qualifying organizations must meet one of the following:
  • Have obtained at least 10 L-1 approvals in the previous 12-month period.
  • Have U.S. subsidiaries or affiliates with combined annual sales of at least $25 million.
  • Have a U.S. workforce of at least 1,000 employees
